Turkish Ambassador Meeting with Alaeddin Boroujerdi
Umit Yardim, Turkish ambassador to Tehran met and talked with Alaedin Boroujerdi, the head of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission”, AVA Diplomatic reports.Alaedin Boroujrdi in the meeting with Umit Yardim pointed to the recent events of Iraq and the Fatwa for the fight against the terrorist ISIS and said: “The terrorist ISIS will be surely cracked down in Iraq”.
Stating that Iran is opposed to any foreign intervention in Iraq, he added: “Iraqi government and nation can suppress the terrorist ISIS by themselves and there will not be any need for foreign intervention”.
Asserting that the security of the region is an interconnected complex, he said: “Iran carefully observes the events of Iraq and is ready to cooperate with the Iraqi government if required”.
Stating that the real loser of the recent events of Syria and Iraq is the Islamic community, Boroujerdi expressed hope that Turkey rethinks its policy on Syria.
Head of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission pointed to the importance of the development of friendly ties between Iran and Turkey and added: “Iran and Turkey ties are a good sample of brotherly ties of the Islamic world and these ties are always in favor of the Islamic community”.
Turkish ambassador to Tehran pointed to the importance of the development of the relations between the two countries and said: “Iran and Turkey are two great powers of the Islamic world and Turkey continually wants to expand relations with Iran in all the areas”.
Umit Yardim then pointed to the recent events of the region and said: “Islamic world is the real loser of the recent events”.
He mentioned the territorial integrity of Iraq as one of the main foreign policies of Turkey.
Turkish ambassador also expressed his satisfaction about the recent trip of the Iranian president to Turkey.
