India Envoy Calls Sanctions Ineffective in Country’s Mutual Cooperation with Iran
Indian Ambassador to Iran D. P. Srivastava says New Delhi is determined to continue cooperation with the Islamic Republic despite the illegal US-engineered sanctions against the country, AVA Diplomatic reports.The Indian envoy noted that Iran purchased USD 4.3 billion worth of goods from India last year using rupee for payment, stressing that India will continue to cooperate with Iran despite the US-led sanctions.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran’s Deputy Minister of Labor, Cooperative, and Social Welfare for International Affairs Mohammad-Taqi Hosseini in Tehran.
