 India Cooperates with Iran’s Fars in Developing Tourism

Indian Ambassador to Iran met with the Director General of Cultural Heritage of the Fars Province and announced his readiness to extend the bilateral interactions between India and the province in developing tourism.

As reported by AVA Diplomatic, after taking a tour at historical monuments and meeting with the Director General of Cultural Heritage of Fars, Saurabh Kumar stated in realizing constructive, effective interactions with the Department of International Affairs of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Fars, he will pursue the necessary steps to further each the circumstances for Indian tourists to visit the province and in return, tourists from Farsi can visit India.

Having attended the celebration of Nowrouz, India’s ambassador stressed that the event is an effective way of knowing the country’s traditions and bringing the two nations closer together.

Saurabh Kumar considered Shiraz as a big city with enormous cultural and touristic potentials mentioning his reasons for visiting the city, coupled with the touristic attractions, as carrying out feasibility studies continuing, “I would like to have another visit to the Fars Province to have a tour at the unique site of Bishapur, a historical-natural site alongside a Sassanid road.”

A same readiness was also voiced by Mosayyeb Amiri, Director General of Cultural Heritage of the Fars Province.
