Ketabraneh, Allameh Tabatabaee School commemorate International Day of Peace

Ketabraneh Bookstore in cooperation with Allameh Tabatabee School and UNIC Tehran commemorated International Day of Peace at the bookstore on Sunday, 25 September 2016, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The ceremony began by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message on the occasion International Day of Peace which was delivered by the UNIC Director Maria Dotsenko for some 40 students and their parents, school management.

Then musician Omid Hojjat’s latest video clip on peace was screened.

Addressing the participants, writer, poet and manager of Ketabraneh Sarvenaz Heraner said today Ketabaneh intends to share its own approach to different aspects of peace.

“Peace with others and we should not judge each other based on our appearances,” she added.

She said that doors of Ketabraneh are open for all people who will be accepted without being judged, accused and blamed. “Through a process of learning and teaching we enjoy each other’s company at Ketabraneh,” Ms. Heraner said.

The ceremony ended with performance of three music pieces by Parapraxis Band whose members are lead guitar: Ali Rouzbayani,Bass guitar: Paya Karimi,Drums: Pourya Gholami,Keyboard/piano: Amirali Amjadiand Guest Appearances: Ramtin Mohassel Yazdi: piano.

Participants also discussed UN efforts aimed to promote sustainable peace and role of young generation in peace education.
