 Denmark interested in scientific cooperation with Iran: Envoy

Denmark’s Ambassador to Tehran Danny Annan said Iran has competent universities, professors, and scientists adding that Copenhagen is keen on scientific cooperation with Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Speaking to local reporters during a visit to Zanjan Province on Monday, the envoy said he would recommend Zanjan to the Danish companies that would opt for entering Iran’s information and communications technology sector.

He also said Danish universities and scientists are already in professional contacts with the universities in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province in the fields of neurology and archeology. Annan referred to Iran’s vast capacity in tourism and urged the Iranian Foreign Ministry to set the ground for the travel of Danish tourists to Iran.

He supported technology transfer through Denmark’s cooperation with Iran including in joint agricultural projects and machinery.

‘Iran is located in a region which has a 300 million population market,’ he said adding that expanded exports to the neighboring countries can increase Iran’s share in the international market.
