Palestine envoy meets with Health Minister

Palestine ambassador to Tehran Salah Zawawi in a meeting with Health Minister Hassan Hashemi on Wednesday discussed issues of mutual interests, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Hassan Hashemi told Palestinian envoy that late Imam Khomeini regarded Palestine a part of the Muslim World occupied by the Israeli occupying regime.

He highlighted the deep ties between the two nations of Iran and Palestine and said the Islamic Republic of Iran supports liberation of the territories of Palestine from the Israeli occupation.

Hashemi expressed hope that all Palestinian groups would join the Islamic Ummah by liberating their motherland.

Salah Zawawi, for his part, said that old relations between Iran and Palestine is honorable and added that after 34 years stay in Iran, he sees Iran as his second home.

The ambassador said that Iran is a thorn in the eyes of the Zionist regime and the US and Iran’s independence is a matter of pride and honor for the Islamic Ummah.

He submitted a memorial plague of the Palestine Embassy to the Health Minister Seyed Hassan Hashemi.
