In a meeting with outgoing German ambassador, FM calls for expansion of trade and industrial ties

Germany’s outgoing Ambassador to Tehran Brand Erbel met with Iran’s foreign minister on Monday in the end of his mission in Tehran. Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi appreciated his efforts and wished him good luck, AVA Diplomatic reports.Saying the bilateral relations between Iran and Germany enjoy special characteristics and a historical background, Salehi called for the development of bilateral relations in the fields of trade and industry between Iran and Germany.

Erbel, for his part, thanked for the Iranian officials’ cooperation during his mission in Iran. “We have good relations with Iran and Iran is a civilized country, with an age-old culture and history as well as spectacular sceneries,” he said. He also lauded Iran’s numerous capacities and said Germany would proceed with efforts to promote relations with Iran in the field of science and technology.
