Tree planting ceremony on International Women’s Day

The Tehran Municipality organized tree planting ceremony on the occasion of International Women’s Day and Tree Planting Week at Nowruz Park in Tehran on 8 March 2018, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammad Javad Zarif and his wife, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abbas Araghchi and his wife as well as Mayor of Tehran Mohammad Ali Najafi, female members of the Tehran City Council, diplomats stationed in Tehran, UN country team representatives and members of Friendship Associations of Iran and different countries participated in the ceremony and each planted a tree.

UNIC National Information Officer Mohammad Moghadam also planted a tree on behalf of UNIC.
