Australian Ambassador in Tehran Ian Biggs on Wednesday welcomed expansion of Tehran-Canberra cooperation in the fields of cultural and tourism activities, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The ambassador made the remarks on the sidelines of an international educational roadshow held at Tehran’s Espinas Palace hotel, north of the Iranian capital.
Iran-Australia cultural cooperation is deeply rooted, said Ambassador Biggs while hoping that the two countries would also work to promote bilateral economic cooperation in line with their cultural activities.
Talking at the end of the IDP Education Roadshow, he said that the number of the Iranian university students to Australia is growing.
He said his presence at the Roadshow is a sign of Canberra willingness to boost bilateral cultural cooperation with Tehran.
The IDP Education, a world leader in international education services, hosted the third Study Abroad Roadshow in Tehran on March 7, 2018.
The Roadshow provides students and families an opportunity to meet representatives from more than 15 renowned universities, colleges and pathway providers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
This year, IDP Roadshow in Tehran will feature top-rated universities and colleges from the UK, including the University of Bradford, Brunel University London, Aston University and Middlesex University London.
Top Australian universities, like the University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, Curtin University and Griffith University will also be present along with other universities and colleges from Australia. Three universities and colleges from the US, Canada and New Zealand will also take part in the exhibition.
