 Islamic Azad University ready to set up office in Austria

Chancellor of Islamic Azad University Hamid Mirzadeh said on Sunday that the university will set up a representative office in Austria after negotiations with the Austrian universities, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Austrian Ambassador to Iran Friedrich Stift on Sunday.

He further noted that the university with some 68,000 instructors and faculty members is an opportunity for cooperation with every country.

In addition to four international units, the university has managed to establish three international offices in Italy, Germany and Russia, he said, noting that Azad University is seeking to promote its activities across the world.

He said that the university’s delegation visited Austria and initiated talks on international cooperation and setting up an office in Austria.

Establishment of an office in a country will help forge communications with all the universities that country, he said.

Synergy University in Russia, Polytechnic University of Milan in Italy and Essen University in Germany are hosting Islamic Azad University’s offices, Mirzadeh said.
