 Zarif: Tehran-Islamabad cooperation growing

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Monday that Iran-Pakistan ties and cooperation are growing, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Pakistan Ambassador to Tehran Noor Mohammad Jadmani.

Zarif said Tehran-Islamabad ties are strategic and their cooperation are ever growing. He prayed to God for recovery of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after surgery.

‘We hope necessary measures will be taken to give an impetus to banking relations by providing necessary mechanism,’ he noted.

Zarif said that Tehran-Islamabad relations are not limited. He appreciated efforts of Pakistan ambassador for promotion of ties during his mission in Tehran.

‘We welcomed new Pakistani ambassador’s efforts for expansion of relations.’

Jadmani said that outcome of official visit of President Hassan Rouhani to Islamabad at the beginning of the current year will open a new horizon for ties in various political, economic and cultural sectors.

He hoped that dialogue of Iranian and Pakistani officials will speedily facilitate banking relations between the two sides.
