 Iran, Norway to expand offshore oil cooperation

Expansion of offshore oil and gas cooperation between Iran and Norway is in the pipeline, stressed officials from the two countries, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The meeting was held between Managing Director of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) Saeed Hafezi and the Norwegian Ambassador to Tehran Norheim Aud Lise.

Ms.Aud Lise hoped that new conditions would lay the groundwork for Norway’s capable companies and investors to have presence in Iran.

Referring to the IOOC projects as the ones with good potentials, she called for further bilateral cooperation in related issues.

She said her country is determined to develop relations with Iran in all fields, oil and gas in particular.

For his part, the Iranian official elaborated on the potential of IOOC and hoped the Norwegian companies and investors would have active presence in the Iranian oil industry.
