Envoy: Grounds prepared for development of Iran-Vietnam ties
Vietnamese Ambassador to Tehran Nguyen Hong Thach said that joining the Free Trade Convention of Trans-Pacific states would facilitate development of trade cooperation between Iran and Pacific countries, AVA Diplomatic reports.
He made the remarks in a meeting with presiding board of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce here on Saturday.
Hong invited East Azarbaijan province investors to build factories in Vietnam and said that export through Vietnam to Trans-Pacific states is possible by paying very low tariffs.
He expressed readiness for offering consultations in this concern and familiarity with Vietnamese market and invited Tabriz businessmen to visit Vietnam and get acquainged with its capabilities.
Head of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce Samad Hassanzadeh while enumerating the industrial, academic and medical capabilities of East Azarbaijan province expressed readiness for cooperation with Vietnam.
Deputy Head of House of Industry and Mine of the province Reza Pashaei underlined need to expand economic and trade ties between the two countries.
He said that Vietnam is one of members of Trans-Pacific Economic Union and therefore so by entering Vietnamese market, grounds for using capacities of the union will be prepared.
Tabriz Chamber of Commerce proposed Vietnam to open economic-trade bureau in Tabriz in order to exchange information between businessmen of the two countries.
Vietnam located in Southeast Asia has one of the fastest growing economics in the region. It joined World Trade Organization in 2007.
According to the FAO, Vietnam had the highest amount of agricultural products export in year 2014.
