Algeria to hold Iran’s Cultural Week

Iran’s Cultural Week will be held in Algeria, said the head of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in a meeting with Algerian Ambassador to Iran Abdel-Monem Ahriz, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Abouzar Ebrahimi Torkaman added that Iran has a friendly outlook towards the North African country and this positive attitude can provide a strong incentive for expansion of cultural relations between the two countries, IRNA reported.
The cultural event will be held on October 9-13 in Algeria, he said, adding that an Iranian delegation will leave for Algiers on October 7 to conduct cultural and artistic programs.
In a meeting with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on September 2, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif maintained that the two sides have come to an agreement on expanding strategic cooperation and holding preparatory meetings of the Joint Iran-Algeria Higher Committee on December 12-18.
The Algerian Embassy intends to hold a cultural week in Tehran’s Milad Tower on September 27-30 to mark the 61st anniversary of Algeria’s independence from France.
