Foreign investors behind Iran doors, says Portuguese envoy

Foreign investors are behind Iran’s door waiting for agreement between Iran and G5+1 to expand their ties, said Portuguese Ambassador to Iran Mario Fernando Damash Nunes, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He further said that Iran and Portugal are pursuing launch of Tehran-Lisbon direct flight, adding it would facilitate tourists and economic activists’ visit to Iran.

Damash Nunes added that hundreds of Portuguese visitors are visiting Iran annually. Portugal has chosen Iran as a destination for tourism. “We will witness more comings and goings to Iran after signing a final deal with G5+1.”

He also said sanctions imposed on Iran have had constructive results in certain sectors and made Iran obtain self-sufficiency in building some products.

“There should be no concerns and foreign traders and investors are behind Iranian door to expand their relations following the agreement with G5+1 and settling problems.”
