 No hindrance to boost Tehran-Yerevan ties, President

President Hassan Rouhani said Tuesday that there is no obstacle to the way of expansion of Iran-Armenia ties, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Receiving the new Armenian Ambassador to Tehran Artashes Tumanyan, the President stressed the need to expand ties with friendly and neighboring countries including Armenia.

Tumanyan submitted his credentials to the Iranian President this morning. Undoubtedly, said the President, further relations between Iran and Armenia will benefit both.

About Tehran-Yerevan ties, he said the two have had relations not only in mutual issues but also in the international arenas. He then called the Armenians residing in Iran as good, active and principled people.  He hoped the two nations would boost all-out relations during the tenure of the new ambassador in Tehran. Tumanyan, too, said he will make his all-out efforts to deepen bilateral cooperation in all fields.
