Tajik envoy praises Iran’s media for defending Islamic teachings

Tajik Ambassador to Tehran Nematollah Imamzadeh praised Iran’s media for defending Islamic teachings, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The sidelines of the 10th Islamic Conference of Information Ministers, he noted that Iranian media show a moderate and real face of Islam.

He urged Muslim news outlets to learn from the Iranian media and refuse extremist interpretation of Islam.

He underlined the need for promotion of solidarity among Islamic states’ media and called for enhancement of all-out ties with Tehran.

The 10th meeting of ICIM inaugurated here Wednesday. A large number of information ministers from Muslim states are attending the two-day ministerial meeting at Azadi Hotel in northern Tehran.

The ICIM expert meeting was held on December 1-2. The motto of the event is ‘Media Convergence for Establishment of Peace and Calm in Islamic World’.
