Iran-Mexico political and cultural relations are century-old and Mexicans are well familiar with the rich, ancient Iranian culture and civilization, Mexican Ambassador to Iran Ulises Canchola Gutierrez said here on Friday, AVA Diplomatic reports.‘We are after expansion of the historical relations between Iran and Mexico and our efforts are aimed at the strengthening of these relations more than ever before under the supportive umbrella of cultural interactions,’ said the Mexican envoy on the sidelines of his visit of the ancient Persepolis Palaces Complex in the outskirts of Shiraz.
He said that the grandeur of the Persepolis Palaces Complex was beyond being praised by its admirers as the ancient historical monument is a sign of the rich culture and craftsmanship of the Iranians in construction of such a huge historical monument some 3,000 years ago.
Ambassador Canchola Gutierrez said that the presence of a large number of foreign tourists from different countries around the globe in the Persepolis Palaces Complex shows the interest of the world nations in the rich Iranian colure and that that was also interesting for him in addition to the complex’s attraction itself.
The Persepolis Palaces Complex is located in Marvdasht Township of Fars Province at a 60 kilometer distance from the provincial capital city to its north.
