Spain Optimistic about Future Cooperation with Iran’s Mercantile Exchange
Spanish Ambassador to Iran Pedro Villena expressed optimism about future cooperation between Iran’s Mercantile Exchange (IME) and its European counterparts, particularly the Spanish one, after the recent implementation of the Geneva nuclear accord between Iran the world powers, AVA Diplomatic reports.Villena along with Head of Commercial and Economic Section of Spanish Embassy in Iran Miguel Angel Iriso Iribarren paid a visit to the IME.
The Spanish ambassador expressed hope that by removing the international barriers, the IME could cooperate with European countries, especially Spain, on sharing knowledge and offerings based on both sides’ potentials. In his tour to the IME, Villena met with IME Managing Director Hossein Panahian.
“Despite the international barriers for Iran regarding economic and finical markets in different aspects, the IME’s progress is remarkable and dynamic,” Villena pointed out.
Late in January, Swiss Ambassador to Iran Giulio Haas and Panahian voiced readiness to pave the ground for the further expansion of their businessmen’s cooperation in Mercantile Exchange.
Haas paid a visit to different sections of Iran’s Mercantile Exchange on the time.
Panahian and a number of his senior directors accompanied the Swiss Ambassador during his visit.
The visit was aimed at getting first-hand information on activities of the IME, including dealings, exports hall business, reception, settlement and delivery of goods and risk management.
