Iran, Qatar Ready for Expansion of Mutual Ties
The Qatari envoy conveyed the greetings of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to President Rouhani, saying that Doha is keen to develop ties with Tehran and its officials hope for a brighter future in the relations of the two states, AVA Diplomatic reports.Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says wise policies of the leaders of regional countries can safeguard and guarantee the interests of the Middle East nations.
In a meeting with Qatar’s new Ambassador to Tehran Ali bin Hamad al-Sulaiti in Tehran on Saturday, Rouhani said the Middle East region was in critical condition, adding that good relations between neighboring countries can have an important effect on the future of the region.
“Wise actions by regional leaders can safeguard and guarantee the interests of [regional] nations,” Rouhani stressed.
He added that Iran is ready to boost friendly ties with Qatar in all sectors, expressing hope that Tehran and Doha would work toward expanding ties in economic, cultural, trade and financial sectors.
