Iran to continue supporting Lebanon: President

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Tuesday declared support for the Lebanese people and government against the terrorist groups and Zionist regime’s aggression, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The Islamic Republic of Iran would continue its support for the Lebanese people and government’s resistance against the terrorist groups and the Zionist regime’s aggressions, Hassan Rouhani said in a meeting with new Lebanese Ambassador to Iran Hassan Abbas.

He expressed the hope that the recent election in Lebanon would boost the country’s national solidarity and unity.

During the meeting, the new Lebanese envoy submitted his credentials to his Iranian counterpart, and said that Lebanon is committed to elevate all-out ties with Iran.
