Italian envoy: Iran future promising
More than 40 Italian companies attended Iran-Italy International Trade Exhibition in Tehran in order to find opportunities to invest in Iran’s industry.
In a ceremony held to celebrate the participation of Italian companies in Tehran, Italian ambassador to Iran Luca Giansanti said the participation of such a number of companies at this particular period of time shows the two countries’ political and economic relations are improving, Ava Diplomatic reported. “The participation of more than 40 Italian companies in Iran while the west-imposed sanctions are still at work indicates that Italy is hopeful about Iran’s future,” said the Italian ambassador to Tehran.
“These companies are Italy’s front men,” he added.
“By seeing what happened in June, which showed a new chapter in Iran’s domestic and foreign affairs was opening, Italy tried to consolidate its political and economic relations with Iran,” Giansanti reiterated.
“The participation of these companies including small and large Italian companies in industrial machinery and plants, upstream industries, livestock and poultry as well as medicine shows that Italy does not consider Iran’s atmosphere closed anymore,” he added.
