Italian ambassador expresses readiness for close cooperation with FC Esteghlal

Italian ambassador to Tehran Luca Giansanti visited popular FC Esteghlal’s office building to meet and talk with FC Esteghlal managing-director Fathollahzadeh.

“Esteghlal is one of the popular teams of Iran and Asia with quite good background and foundation. Given the present conditions, grounds for cooperation can be boosted in comparison with the past,” the Italian ambassador told FC Esteghlal website.

In agreements made between Iranian and Italian sport officials, the grounds for establishing a close relation between FC Esteghlal and Italian soccer and necessary cooperation is slated to be investigated.

In the meeting the sides agreed on establishment of soccer academies, medical cooperation, and construction of clinics, soccer player transfer, and coach training courses for Esteghlal veterans in Italy.
