 Iran Tunisia expand cooperation in skills training

Iranian Deputy Labor Minister met Tunisian ambassador to Tehran over grounds for the two countries’ cooperation in skills training. “Training the two side’s instructors, preparing standards and educational resources based on need analysis can be grounds for bilateral cooperation,” he said, AVA Diplomatic reports.

In the meeting attended by Iranian technical and vocational training executives, bilateral interaction and cooperation in skills training were discussed.

In the meeting, Kourosh Parand explained Iran’s education system as well as the position of Technical and Vocational Training Organization (TVTO) in Iran’s skills training, expressing willingness establishing reciprocal cooperation of the two countries in the field.

The Iranian Deputy Labor Minister outlined the grounds for bilateral cooperation and transfer of experience in Tunisia’s skills training system design to be preparing standards and educational resources based on need analysis, training the sides’ instructors, providing grounds for the activity of technical and vocational training institutes in Tunisia, providing grounds for home jobs particularly in handcrafts and carpet weaving as well as launching and equipping technical and vocational training centers in the country.

The Tunisian ambassador to Iran Mohammad al-Hasayeri, for his part, called his visit to Iranian Technical Vocational Research and Instructor Training Center fruitful, expressing satisfaction about the two countries close interactions. He called free technical and vocational training in Iran one of the achievements of the Islamic Republic, saying these trainings are the gate to employment. He said the meeting provided an opportunity for transfer of experiences in technical and vocational training for both countries.
