Indian ambassador stresses expansion of economic exchanges

Indian Ambassador to Iran said Wednesday that India is keen on enhancing economic cooperation by investing in a free trade zone (FTZ) at the southeastern port city of Chabahar, AVA diplomatic reports.

According to Ava Diplomatic, Indian Ambassador to Iran D.P. Srivastava and his entourage visited various commercial and industrial sections of Chabahar FTZ. During the visit, the envoy stressed the expansion of economic ties through investment in Chabahar, noting that his government is to launch a trial program for transit of goods through Chabahar to Milak on the Iran-Afghanistan border in Sistan province.

The Indian government is willing to invest in various economic sectors as transit of goods, benefiting from existing facilities at Chabahar FTZ, the envoy said, stressing on his country’s investment in Chabahr’s industry sector.

The Indian ambassador and his entourage visited various commercial and industrial sections of Chabahar FTZ.
