Bangladeshi ambassador Astara psychiatric rehabilitation center

Bangladesh Ambassador to Iran Khandakar Abdul Sattar toured Saman and Sara Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center in Astara, getting familiar with the problems of the institute and the handicapped children, AVA Diplomatic reports.During the visit, the Bangladeshi ambassador to Iran Khandakar Abdul Sattar toured all the rooms in which handicapped children were kept and learned about their diseases and problems.

The center runs by families and government subsidy and is the only center to provide services for children under 14. All the children protected by the center are from Astara and its suburbs.

“I am pleased to visit the Rehabilitation Center and thank those who launched the center and continued working and the long time they spend for the institute and the children. I ask the merciful God to help the people who are in this honorable job,” he wrote in the center’s guest book.

Then he said the green nature of Gilan reminded him of Bangladesh, bringing his memories to life.

“I hope with Rouhani administration, Iran’s diplomacy can be more active than the past because Iran can reach trade and economic growth through interaction with developed countries,” the Bangladeshi ambassador to Tehran said.

“Sometimes, diplomacy can pave the way. Interaction leads to progress particularly because Iran has many capabilities. Iran’s future is quite bright,” Abdul Sattar added.
