World Press Photo Exhibition opens in Tehran

Dutch Ambassador to Iran Susanna Terstal attended the opening ceremony of the Best of 2016-2018 World Press Photo Exhibition in Niavaran Cultural Center, northern Tehran, on May 9, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The 141 photos of the exhibition, which will be open to public from May 10 to June 1, have been chosen from various exhibitions held from 2016 until 2018 focusing on contemporary issues, general news, people, sports, spot news, daily life and nature.
At the opening ceremony, director of the exhibition Mehdi Qasemi said that the photojournalists should work on the basis of honesty, and they should take pictures from the realities.
According to the United Nations Information Center (UNIC), the Best of 2016-2018 World Press Photo Exhibition is an initiative by the World Press Photo Foundation, and is brought to Tehran by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Iranian Photojournalist Association.
