Moscow is concerned by escalating rhetoric between the United States and Iran, Russia’s ambassador to Tehran has said, AVA Diplomatic reports.

The Russian Federation will do its best to reduce tensions between the two countries, Ambassador Levan Dzhagaryan was quoted by the RIA news agency as having said on Monday.

The Russian ambassador was also cited as having said that Iran had not asked Moscow to mediate with Washington on its behalf.
