 Iran-Italy scientific cooperation discussed

On the eve of the Italian prime minister’s visit to Tehran, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Science for International Affairs and head of International Academic Cooperation Center in a meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Tehran discussed the areas of implementation of scientific cooperation between the two countries here Sunday, AVA Diplomatic reports.

In his meeting with Mauro Conchatori, Hossein Salar-Amoli welcomed the visit by Italian Minister of Education to Iran in the company of the Italian Prime Minister and underlined the importance of implementation of the mutual agreements reached between the two countries in the field of science and technology.

The Italian Ambassador to Iran, too, stressed the need for the development of cooperation between the two countries and called for enhanced research activities of Iranian and Italian young researchers.

Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at the head of a high-ranking delegation including Minister of Education, Universities and Research Stefania Giannini and a group of officials from scientific, academic and business sectors, and knowledge-based industries and companies will visit Iran in the near future.
