Tajik Ambassador Insists Hamadani’s Works Be Taken More Thoughtfully

2015 was decided as the 700th birth anniversary of Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (R.A). In this connection Seminars, conferences and symposia are being held in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. Tajikistan has taken the lead in this regard and recently a scientific symposium on the theme “Mir Syed Ali Hamdani: A Scientist and Thinker” was held at Dushanbe (Tajikistan) from September 5-6, 2015 to commemorate the unparalleled contributions of this great scientist, thinker, philosopher, religious leader and a Sufi saint, AVA Diplomatic Reports.
At a conference to study the mysterious life of this grand literary, an atmosphere came to life that chronicles the life and works of Persian mystic and poet Mir Seyyed Ali Hamadani was unveiled Tuesday at a meeting in Tehran.
Tehran-based ECO Cultural Institute Director Aref, Tajik Ambassador Nematullo Emomzoda, Iranian Young Cinema Society Managing Director, and a number cultural officials and literati attended the meeting.
“Mir Seyyed Ali Hamadani, who was born in Iran, is among the luminaries of all time as he traveled extensively to promote Islamic thought throughout the region,” Aref said.
Emomzoda used the context of the motion picture industry for widening public cultural awareness as he expressed his satisfaction over making such movies on other Islamic dignitaries.
IRIB Documentary Channel is scheduled to air “Hazrat Amirjan” on Friday at 2 pm.
Mir Seyyed Ali bin Shahab-ud-Din Hamadani (1314-1385) was born in Hamedan and died in Tajikistan. He was buried in the southern Tajik city of Kulob.
He was very influential in spreading Islam in Kashmir and had a major hand in shaping the culture of the Kashmir valley.
Previously in October 2014, the Iran-Tajikistan Friendship Society, Iran’s Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO organized a conference to commemorate the 700th birth anniversary of Mir Seyyed Ali Hamadani.
In addition, the western Iranian city of Hamedan also hosted an international conference on Hamadani last November, and the capital city of Tajikistan Dushanbe hosted a seminar on Hamadani in September.
