 Iran, China to work in nuclear-related fields

Iran and China plan to cooperate in producing isotopes, sea water sweetening and nuclear plants, said Chinese ambassador to Iran, Pang Sen, AVA Diplomatic reports.

 “Rebuilding Arak Reactor is one of the most important issues of JCPOA,” he said.

China has presented its plans and proposals on rebuilding Arak Reactor. The proposals will not only keep the quality of Arak Heavy Water Reactor but also would boost trust between Iran and P5+1.

A work group for rebuilding Arak Reactor was formed through US-China cooperation, Pang Sen said.

Spokesman of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi has already said that rebuilding Arak Reactor would last for 3 years.

China sent two work groups for experts investigations and rebuilding the reactor to Iran before the nuclear agreement, he said, adding Iran is after making the required arrangements between Iran and P5+1.

The Chinese envoy said that China is ready for nuclear interaction with Iran based on international rules and regulations. “The two countries can work in producing isotopes, sea water sweetening and nuclear power plants.”
