Iran welcomes developing Tehran-Sarajevo ties

The Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes expanding and deepening ties between Tehran and Sarajevo in all areas of politics, economics, and culture, said President Rouhani while he was receiving credentials of the new Bosnia and Herzegovina ambassador, AVA Diplomatic reports.
In this meeting with the new ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Tehran which was held on Monday, President Rouhani said that Iran and Bosnia and Herzegovina are very close with each other. He continued: “We hope to witness ties grow more than before in the post-sanctions era”.
Referring to the tough times during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Rouhani continued: “The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been by the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina during its hard times and, of course, reconstruction era and we currently welcome developing close and amicable ties with Sarajevo”.
He also noted the cultural and regional commonalities between the two nations and stressed the need to expand relations in cultural and economic areas.
In this meeting, the new ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Tehran presented his credentials to President Rouhani and said: “Amicable relations of the two countries during many years will be a good and firm base for strengthening mutual ties in economy and culture”.
He also said that his country’s foreign minister is set to visit Iran in the coming months.
The new ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Tehran also expressed hope that in the future the two countries cement ties by trade delegations both countries visiting each other.
