Thai ambassador calls for expansion of ties with Iran

Thailand’s Ambassador in Iran Rasmee Chittham called for expansion of trade, commerce and cultural relations with Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

In a meeting with the members of the Fars province chamber of commerce, industries, mines and agriculture here in southern country on Tuesday, he said his country regarded Iran as a gate opening into the Middle East.

He stressed the importance of developing ties with Iran for his country and said Thailand is to dispatch a trade and commercial delegation to Iran soon.

Pointing to Iran’s capabilities in the various scientific areas including nano-technology, the ambassador voiced Thailand’s readiness to have exchanges with Iran in various fields such as oil and gas projects.

Members of the Fars province’s Chamber briefed the ambassador on capabilities and potentials of the local investors.
