 British trade delegation to visit Iran: Official

Director General of British Iranian Chamber of Commerce (BICC) Martin Johnston described London-Tehran trade ties expanding and added the chamber is to send a trade delegation to Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He said here on Monday that the trade delegation will visit Iran in October. Johnston said the purpose of the visit is to expand business ties between the two countries.

He said that members of the delegation have not been specified as yet.

A source from BICC said that possibly Martin Johnston and former Britain’s Ambassador to Tehran Richard Dalton will accompany the delegation.

He said that the British delegation is to have session with Iranian members of joint Chamber of Commerce, with representatives from industrial, mine, oil and gas sectors as well as banking officials.

According to the BICC the British delegation will include between 12 to 15 persons and they will visit Iran on October 1-6, 2015.
