Busquets named as Spain’s new ambassador to Iran

Spanish cabinet has appointed Eduardo López Busquets as Spain’s new ambassador to Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.
The new ambassador to Teheran has been, for the last three years, director general of Casa Árabe, where he has developed an intense activity. López Busquets is 58 years old and he had previously been ambassador to Mozambique, as well as assigned, some time ago, to Iran’s Embassy. He had also been counselor for the International Department of the Presidency of the Government and the Ministry of Defense, and general deputy director for Cooperation with Central, Eastern and Western Africa of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID in its Spanish acronym).
