 Brazil keen on cooperation with Iran on veterinary

Ambassador of Federative Republic of Brazil to Iran on Wednesday expressed his country’s readiness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Iran’s Veterinary Organization, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Santiago Irazabal Mourao made the remarks in a meeting with head of Iran’s Veterinary Organization Mehdi Khalaj. He said that Iran-Brazil relations are excellent and growing. He added that Brazilian Minister of Agriculture intends to develop agricultural relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The ambassador said that Brazilian head of animal health service and head of Iran’s veterinary organization held negotiations in Paris on the sidelines of 83rd annual meeting of World Organization for Animal Health last month and that the two sides are willing to sign MoU on cooperation in the field of animal health and veterinary.

He said the MoU aims to develop cooperation in the field of animal health and veterinary and in order to control and prevent animal diseases and facilitation of trade for unprocessed meat and animal food.
