Iran calls for collective efforts of Muslim states in Sudan
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on the regional states to join hands to put an end to the crisis in Sudan, AVA Diplomatic reports.
‘All regional countries and the Muslim world should try to put end to these calamities through unity,’ Zarif said in a meeting with the outgoing Sudanese ambassador to Tehran on Sunday evening.
The Iranian foreign minister, meantime, thanked the Sudanese envoy for his efforts during his mission in Iran.
Zarif underlined the need for unity among Muslim states towards the plots hatched against them and pointed to the western sanctions imposed against the Sudanese nation and called for vigilance of the Muslim states vis-à-vis the plots targeting the Muslims.
Mir Ghani Abkar al-Bakhit, for his part, thanked the Iranian foreign ministry for cooperating with him over past four years.
The outgoing Sudanese ambassador pointed to the very good relations between Tehran and Sana’a, and expressed the hope that the two countries’ friendly relations will continue in the coming years.
