Afghanistan Ambassador to Tehran said that 15,000 Afghan students have been graduated from Iranian universities and 10,000 are currently studying at the universities, AVA Diplomatic reports.
Nassir Ahmad Nour made the remarks on the occasion of Tehran University International Day at Ferdowsi Hall. He said that whoever applying for higher education in Afghanistan, have got acquainted with name of Tehran University and other Iranian universities and their publications.
The Afghan ambassador appreciated support of Iranian government and nation for education of Afghan youngsters at the Iranian colleges.
He said that as instructors admitted the Afghan youngsters are intelligent and active and ‘we hope after completion of their education they would engineer growth and development of their country.’
Ahmad Nour said that those graduated who returned home are undertaking high positions and posts and their presence in national unity government is noticeable.
He said that education of Afghan youngsters in Iran in addition to widen friendship and solidarity between the two nations has an important role for reconstruction and development of Afghanistan.
Tehran University International Day ceremony was held in the past two months of year 1394 (2015) in presence of many non-Iranian students.
Meanwhile, 1200 non-Iranian students of Tehran University held a cultural exhibition to introduce their country.
