 Outgoing envoys of Sri Lanka and Serbia bid farewell

Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi on Wedneday received outgoing ambassadors of Sri Lanka and Serbia, AVA Diplomatic reports.

According to Foreign Ministry Media Department, Sri Lankan outgoing Ambassador to Tehran Mohammad Feisal Razin met with Morteza Sarmadi to bid farewell at the end of his tenure.

In the meeting, Sarmadi appreciated the efforts the ambassador made during his tenure to promote bilateral ties and expressed hope that by settling the problems, the ground will be prepared for expansion of economic cooperation and completion and implementing the projects in Sri Lanka.Razin, for his part, presented a report about his three years activities in Tehran.

In another event, outgoing ambassador of Serbia in Tehran Alexander Tasic met with Morteza Sarmadi.

In the meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister said that Iran gives high importance to expansion of all-out ties with Serbia.

He said that Serbia has widescale capacity for regional cooperation and economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Referring to membership of Serbia in the Non-Aligned Movement, Sarmadi said that the two countries would hold consultations in the context of the NAM and other international organization and bodies.

Alexander Tasic said for his part that regular consultations were underway between senior officials of the two countries on different issues.

He expressed hope that cooperation in bilateral, regional and international issues would continue.
