 Envoy hopes more Japanese companies to invest in Iran

Japanese Ambassador to Tehran Kuji Hunda said talks between Iran and Group 5+1 continue seriously and it is hoped that with the good results of the talks, Japanese companies would be able to invest in Iran without any restrictions, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Envoy hopes more Japanese companies to invest in Iran.The Japanese diplomat met Minister of Justice Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi on Sunday and talked with him on signing a contract between the two countries on the extradition of convicts.

The ambassador said Iran and Japan enjoy very good historical relations adding that signing the contract is one of the most important achievements in bilateral relations.

He expressed hope that the two countries would be able to sign other agreements in economic and cultural fields.

The envoy added the contract is the first agreement on penal code signed between Iran and Japan after the victory of the Islamic Revolution which is very important for Japan.

Kuji Hunda said with the signing of the contract, bilateral relations will be further strengthened.

The ambassador said until late November 2014, there were 178 Iranian prisoners in Japanese jails. The agreement lets these prisoners be transferred to Iranian prisons
