Afghanistan ambassador calls on Afghan refugees to return home

Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Tehran Nasir Ahmad Nour on Sunday called on Afghan refugees to return home to help develop their country, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Addressing a conference on cultural and social issues of Afghan refugees in central province of Qom, Ahmad Nour said that Afghanistan’s national security depends on the return of refugees.

He said that the return of educated Afghan refugees could deal a blow to extremist groups active in the country, adding, the government of Kabul needs to make use of the capacity of Afghan elite to reconstruct the war-stricken country.

The second conference on cultural and social issues of Afghan refugees was held in the city of Qom on Thursday, during which academics and experts reviewed different problems of the Afghan refugees.
