 Indian diplomat calls for establishing New Delhi-Zahedan direct flights

Indian consul general to Zahedan Sujit Kumardas on Saturday called for establishing direct flights from New Delhi to Zahedan and vice versa, AVA Diplomatic reports.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the Governor General of Sistan and Baluchestan Hatam Narouei.

Kumardas said that considering many visits by Iranian citizens to India for higher education, medical treatment and business, establishing a flight route is a necessity for citizens of Sistan-Baluchestan province.

He appreciated Iranian government for helping Indian expatriates in Zahedan with necessary facilities to live in Iran with ease.

The diplomat said Iran-India friendly relations are not excluded to their domestic issues, adding that the two countries are keen on cooperation in international forums.

Kumardas said that the Indian government is willing to expand economic and cultural ties with Sistan-Baluchestan province.

Narouei said Iran and Indian deep historical and cultural relations are deeply-rooted in light of cultural common grounds which are the best solid link between the two nations as well.

He underlined expansion of mutual ties and cooperation and said Iranians and Indians have been close friends for centuries.

The governor general said Iran and India as two strong regional countries must keep joint stance and common view in the regional and international issues.
