New Laotian envoy submits copy of his credentials to DyFM

Laos new Ambassador to Tehran,Southam Sakonhninhom met with Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi here on Sunday and submitted a copy of his credentials to him, AVA Diplomatic reports.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, in the meeting, Sarmadi referred to historical and positive relations between the two countries, especially common stances on different issues.

Deputy FM expressed hope that with the new ambassador in Tehran, bilateral relations get more momentum.

The new ambassador, for his part, expressed pleasure for being in Iran and said he would do his utmost to expand bilateral ties.
