Austrian ambassador to Iran in the meeting with the mayor of Tabriz pointed to the current potentials for exchanging professors and students between the universities of the two countries, AVA Diplomatic reports.Friedrich Stift Austrian ambassador to Iran in the meeting with Sadegh Najafi appreciated the hospitality of the mayor of Tabriz and expressed his happiness from being in Tabriz and said: “cleanness and green environment of Tabriz was tangible for me from the first moments I entered the city”.

He added: “urban development of Austria can surely benefit from the urban management of Tabriz”.

“There are currently 1500 Iranian students in Austria studying in technical and architecture majors”,

“There are 2000 Iranian doctors working in Austria and the absence of them means the inefficiency of Austria’s health system”, reiterated he.

“Austria is ready to exchange professors and students with Iran to develop educational ties”, he added.

“Vienna has the similar situation with Tabriz and is pioneer in numerous scientific and cultural achievements; still I confess that Tabriz has a much older history”, remembered the Austrian ambassador to Iran.
