FM receives new Guinea-Bissau ambassador to Tehran
Guinea Bissau’s new ambassador to Iran presented a copy of his credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi here on Saturday, AVA diplomatic reports.During the meeting, Salehi hoped that Jalo will be successful in his mission in Iran, according to a report by the Information and Press Bureau of the ministry.
Developing ties with the African countries, especially Guinea-Bissau is one of the priorities of Iran’s foreign policy, he added, noting the African states boast of various capacities for cooperation with Iran, which is, in turn, fully capable of developing ties with them.
He further noted that Iran is ready to make its experience available to the African state.
Jalo, for his part, said that Iran is a great country with ancient civilization and history.
“Iran plays an influential role in the region and world and has forged excellent ties with the African countries,” he said, noting that’s an honor for him to be the first ambassador of his country to Iran.
