Iran, Afghanistan Willing to Expand Academic Relations

Minister of Science, Research and Technology, in a meeting with Afghan ambassador to Tehran Nasir Ahmad Nour, underlined the expansion of mutual cooperation in the scientific and research fields between Iran and Afghanistan, AVA Diplomatic reports.The Iranian minister said that Iran is committed to fulfill its commitments for boosting further research and scientific cooperation with Afghanistan.

He expressed hope that the meetings between higher education officials of Iran and Afghanistan would result in consolidation of scientific relations between the two countries.

Afghan ambassador, for his part, thanked Faraji Dana for his remarks in support of Afghanistan’s higher education.

 Naseer Ahmad Noor concluded that different wars resulted in destruction of Afghanistan’s universities and educational centers.
