 To be Held Specialty Joint Meetings with UNIDO

Seyed Mehdi Mir Abutalebi Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture’s deputy in international affairs visited Alessandro Amadio representative of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Iran on 22 May 2013, AVA Diplomatic reports.According to the report of ICCIMA’s public relations, introducing the specialty different parts of Iran chamber; Iran chamber’s deputy in international affairs announced that Iran chamber is active in 4 main areas industry, mine, commerce and agriculture and it is ready to use the experiences of UNIDO for strengthening relevant associations and unions of Iran chamber.

Mir Abutalebi proposed the holding of specialty seminars and joint training courses with the cooperation of UNIDO.

Pointing to the necessity of having an action plan and the way of appropriate implementation for developing SMEs, he welcomed the launch of joint projects with UNIDO for promotion and empowerment of this area.

Alessandro Amadio representative of UNIDO in Iran said that its general program are regulated with the goals like: increasing the share of non-oil sectors in the economy, supporting sustainable development, employment, increasing capacities for developing SMEs, modernization of agricultural industry and optimization of energy consumption in national level. UNIDO is ready to cooperate with government and private sector to achieve these goals.

He welcomed the proposal of holding joint meetings between UNIDO and Iran chamber’s unions.

It is said that the agendas of both organizations is the holding of specialty meeting with the representatives of IT and agriculture industries.
