Majlis National Security Committee Chairman meets Cuban ambassador

Cuban ambassador to Tehran Vladimir Andres Gonzalez Quesada and the Chairman of Majlis’ National Security Committee Aladdin Boroujerdi met and exchanged views.
In a meeting with the Cuban ambassador to Tehran, the Chairman of Majlis’ National Security Committee Aladdin Boroujerdi expressed Iran’s willingness to expand the relations between the two countries, saying the deep bonds of friendship and many commonalities in the two countries’ viewpoints has provided them with good grounds to expand and consolidate their bilateral ties.
Speaking of Iran’s nuclear talks with the P5+1 group, Boroujerdi added that given the transparency of Iran’s peaceful activities and its absolute right to use the advantages of nuclear energy, “it is now P5+1’s turn to show its goodwill”.
Commenting on the failure in the last round of the Geneva talks to reach a final agreement, Boroujerdi called it the decision-making weakness on the part of some negotiating countries and their being influenced by the Zionist regime.
Cuban Ambassador to Tehran Vladimir Andres Gonzalez Quesada, for his part, expressed his country’s support for expansion of ties with Iran, saying Cuba supports expansion of ties with Iran in parliamentary, political and international areas.
The Cuban envoy, for his part, said Havana has always advocated Iran’s right to access peaceful energy and has been against the imposition of sanctions on Iran.
