 Iran-residing Afghan artists to put up exhibition in Tehran

The National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is planning to hold an exhibition of the calligraphy and painting works of Afghan artists residing in Iran, AVA Diplomatic reports.

‘Lapis Lazuli Pens’ will be an exhibition for painting, calligraphy, Persian miniature, and illuminated manuscript.

The event will kick off on December 21 with the presence of secretary-general of UNESCO-Iran joint commission, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Iran, the advisor to Tajikistan’s ambassador to Iran, and Iran’s cultural attaché in Turkey.

The exhibition, whose aim is to enhance cooperation between the two contiguous countries, will be open until December 26 in the National Library and Archives of Iran.
