Commemoration of Human Rights Day

UNIC NIO Mohammad R. Moghadam delivered SG’s message during a seminar entitled “Human Society 70 years after UDHR: Achievements and Failures”, held jointly by the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) and UNIC on the occasion of Human Rights Day at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies (IHCS) on 9 December 2018, AVA Diplomatic reports.

Other speakers of the conference were Professor of Interntional Relations from Tehran University   Dr. Nassrin Mosaffa, Professor of Law from Shahid Beheshti University Dr. Reza Eslmi, member of scientific board of Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies Dr. Ahmad Pakatchi and senior Islamic researcher Dr. Mohammad Hossein Mozaffari who talked about UDHR in international human rights system during the past 7 decades, UDHR’s failures and achievements, the Islamic Human Rights based on Islamic documents as well as human rights in the Islamic Countries.

UN promotional items such as UDHR, UN Charter, UN System Chart, etc. were given to the participants.
